Crazy Wednesday
Crazy Wednesday
Every Wednesday night at 101 Park House, it is feasible to find the bellboys dressed rock idol of 60 years ago, the receptionist like a hippie, the manager dress like a gaucho to a gaucho while the guest is challenging himself not to fall of a mechanical bull. With these habitual crazy nights, the 101 Park House surprises its guests.
Moved by the goal to surprise, to allow and inspire their guests, the employees of 101 Park House have become rockers, gauchos, hippies and soldiers, provided that the client always has a good memory of his ‘second home’
Johanna Navarro, head of Reception for the hotel and also one of the creators of these crazy types of ideas with which it is not possible to deny, has also surprised her companions. She notes that they try to make the evenings both pleasant and unforgettable.
“As Wednesdays are the Manager’s cocktail, we wanted for this event to not be just a simple cocktail but rather more attractive so we decided to add a little more color. The idea then is that on Wednesday we disguise ourselves or we make a strange activity that allows for us to surprise our guests” explains Johanna. For that reason it does not seem rare when you arrive at the hotel on a Wednesday night and find that everyone is dressed up, the bellboys are rock idols of 60 years ago, the receptionist is a hippie, the general manager appears like a gaucho, and the guests are challenging themselves not to fall off of a mechanical bull.
One night, the companions at a table of the 101 were surprised to see a motorcycle enter the lobby of the hotel. Yes, a motorcycle of which rode two rockers, two disguised employees. Its characterization was so perfect that many visitors thought the Harlistas had taken the hotel. What came after was laughter and applause.
Another Wednesday, at the entrance of the hotel, a lock box was installed. From their perspective, the guests became frightened to see so many guards in uniform but they literally died of laughter when the ‘Mascot’ left to make the requisite it was no more than a scared cat.
The past Wed, March 10, for example, was the Gaucha night. From the General Manager to the Porter, everyone was disguised in traditional Argentine dress whike they accompanied the surprised guest to try the Churrasco and a singular mechanical bull that in less than a minute knocked down Pablo Nieto and Mauritius Oliveira. “It is these type of activities that distress our clients if you take into account that the majority of them are high executives who are always concentrating on their work. Here, they can relax like family says Johanna.
